In the Spirit of Service
Our practice philosophy is simple, but thorough – assure the patient’s gentle dental care. In today’s modern dental world we can, with our patient’s cooperation, provide a healthy and happy smile, almost for a lifetime. Any procedure that we do not do well, we do not do; we will guide you and recommend you to competent and caring professionals. In order to provide the best service, we recommend a thorough examination for our new patients to include the following components:
1: health history and dental history
2: clinical examination, including oral cancer screening
3: radiographic examination -- BOTH PANORAMIC AND FULL MOUTH SERIES
4: periodontal evaluation – gums and bone which support the teeth
5: temporomandibular joint (TMJ) exam and occlusal evaluation
6: upper and lower models and bite records
7: intraoral and extraoral photographs
The information obtained from the collected data will provide us with an understanding of your current oral-dental status and will enable us to generate a thorough treatment plan that will respectfully include your interest and input.
Cosmetic dentistry is an elective field. With your consultation we will be glad to incorporate the esthetic element into our treatment plan. We will provide you with various options based on your unique situation. You will be a partner in planning your treatment, and throughout the procedures, you will be kept informed. We will clearly indicate in our recommendation the objective of the treatment, the number of visits required, the duration of each visit, and the cost involved. We will answer any question or concern you may have and will be glad to clarify anything you may not fully understand in your treatment plan. After our recommendations you are welcome to seek a second or third opinion.
Our office believes in the fact that the teeth, gums, and other tissues comprising the oral cavity are all interconnected and play a vital role in total systemic health. We do not encourage the concept of “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.” On the contrary, in the oral cavity, prevention plays a crucial role in maintaining oral health – so before something breaks down further, we like to address the issue. This approach leads to more successful treatment outcomes and less cost for the patient in the long run.
We hope you will choose our practice as a private office for you and your family’s dental health, and we appreciate your confidence and trust that is essential for the doctor-patient relationship.
